Maersk Drilling has been awarded a $14 million 16-month contract extension for the jackup rig Mærsk Innovator with ConocoPhillips Norway.
The deal will see the rig work on the Eldfisk field, in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The extension will keep the rig continuously contracted until June 2018. Mærsk Innovator has been working for ConocoPhillips since 2010.
Maersk Drilling chief executive Claus Hemmingsen said: “We are very pleased to see the Mærsk Innovator continue to work for ConocoPhillips.”
