Marine geophysical services specialist WGP has completed its spring/summer program of reservoir monitoring operations for Statoil’s Snorre and Grane fields ahead of schedule.
Good weather helped WGP acquire the data in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea before the end of July.
The company said more than 6,000km of data has been shot over the two fields, now in the second full year of operation.
Operations director Marcus Smith said: “We have had two excellent surveys this season with the best recorded production figures and lowest downtime hours seen since we started the permanent reservoir monitoring survey for Statoil.”
WGP is scheduled to carry out the autumn 4D/4C permanent reservoir monitoring survey for Statoil later this year.
