Strike Energy has successfully completed operations for its three Klebb wells at its Southern Cooper Basin gas project in Australia.
Each well has been fully re-commissioned with the Phase-3 extended flow test program having commenced last week.
Flow rates at each well will be ramped up in a controlled manner over coming weeks based on procedures developed over the previous six months of testing.
The company said early water and gas flow results were encouraging with sustained gas flows observed at each well shortly after commencement of water production.
Initial results also show well productivity has been substantially increased following the fracture stimulation treatments at Klebb 2 and 3.
Strike said its focus now is on building production rates over coming weeks to reduce reservoir pressure leading to increased gas flows which will enable the company to achieve commercial rates.
