Petroleum additives producer Afton Chemical has earned RC14001 and ISO 14001 certification for all US operations from British Standards Institute (BSI).
Afton Chemical, as a member of the American Chemistry Council and founding member of the Responsible Care initiative, made a commitment to achieve the certification.
Afton president Rob Shama said: “This certificate underscores our commitment to the responsible development, manufacture, transportation and handling of our products everywhere we operate. I am very proud of our team and their visible support of Responsible Care.”
The RC14001 certification must be provided by an accredited third party, like BSI, an international standards organisation operating under British Royal Charter since 1929.
Afton is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
