
An oil worker has been evacuated by helicopter from a North Sea oil rig after falling ill.
Shetland Coastguard sent a helicopter to the Tern Alpha rig about 105 miles north east of Lerwick at around 2pm after reports of a man taking ill.
He was been taken to Gilbert Bain hospital in Shetland where he is said to be in a “non life-threatening” condition at around 3.40 pm.
