Chevron has awarded a contract for work on its Barrow Island assets in Australia to engineering company Monadelphous.
The move has given the company a jobs boost with 500 people expected to be employed to perform work under the three-year agreement.
Monadelphous will carry out operation and maintenance of support facilities and associated utilities which includes water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation and distribution systems.
Managing director Rob Velletri said: “This contract secured through our oil and gas services division, continues our long-standingrelationship with Chevron Australia and demonstrates our capability to deliver a diverse range of operations and maintenance services.”
