Amec Foster Wheeler has struck a three-year deal with Maersk Oil for its UK North Sea assets.
Under the integrated services contract, Amec will provide engineering, procurement and construction for Maersk’s North Sea portfolio.
John Pearson, Amec Foster Wheeler’s group president for Northern Europe & CIS, said: “I am delighted that our oil and gas team has risen to the challenge of ‘not letting a crisis go to waste’. We have re-written how our services in the North Sea are delivered and have built a new way of working collaboratively, safely and efficiently to answer our customers’ needs in this tough market.
“I’m delighted that Maersk Oil have recognised that we have a truly different way of delivering efficiently for their assets, and I’m even more delighted that we can deliver significant value for Maersk and look forward to developing a long-term relationship.”
The deal comes the same day Amec confirmed a slide in profit.
