Aker Solution has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new regional president for the UK and Africa.
David Clark will oversee expansion and support operations in the key markets using more than 30 years of experience in the oilfield services.
Clark most recently worked as vice president of production facilities for Schlumberger as well as positions earlier in his career at Wood Group and Technip.
He will be based in London and work on expanding Aker Solutions’ international presence with a particular focus on the African market.
Chief executive Luis Araujo said:”David is a true oil and gas professional with extensive experience in some of our most important markets.
“His strong track record in business development will be of major value as we grow in strategically important regions such as Africa.”
At Offshore Europe Aker’s Matt Corbin said the next generation of workers in the industry should “jump in with both feet” and take opportunities in the sector.
