The salaries of some workers at an oil firm have increased after a review into their pay.
As reported by our sister paper Evening Express, all offshore employees working for Petrofac on CNR International (CNRI) assets have had a review into their salaries after CNRI revealed the implementation of an equal time three on/three off rota.
The move is part of a bid to get workers’ pay 5% above the level set by the Offshore Contractors Association.
It comes just six months after Petrofac revealed it was to axe 16.5 full-time equivalent offshore roles supporting the UK North Sea operations of CNRI.
At that time the firm said workers supplied to CNRI through its Aberdeen-based recruitment business, Atlantic Resourcing, were being “downmanned”.
A Petrofac spokeswoman confirmed some workers were to receive a pay rise, with others remaining on the same salary because they were already above 5% of the OCA minimum rates.
