A slowed marketplace has forced Havila Shipping to sideline two of its five North Sea AHTS vessels.
The Norwegian owner confirmed it would lay-up its Havila Mars and Havila Neptune.
A company spokesperson said: “The decision is made as a consequence of the actual market conditions. The company does not expect that the market will improve in short- or medium-term.
“The main challenge is the supply side, and this measure will have a positive effect on this.”
The firm, which was founded in 2003, operates 27 vessels, including subsea construction, anchor handling, platform supply and multi-field recovery vessels.
