CIMIC Group has won a contract worth $250million for work on the Surat basin project in Queensland.
The agreement is with QGC which is a subsidiary of BG Group.
The deal is expected to generate revenue for the business over an 18-month period.
CIMIC chief executive Marcelino Fernández Verdes said: “QGC’s ongoing development of its world‐class natural gas reserves is making a major contribution to the Queensland economy and growth of the LNG industry in Australia.”
