At least 30 were wounded after a fire ripped through a Pemex pipeline in Cardenas, the Mexican state of Tabasco.
Early reports said the pipeline “exploded”.
However, Pemex took to Twitter and said: “The fire started, apparently in a stolen fuel tank and got control before affecting the pipeline, so this did not explode.”
It’s thought those injured were trying to steal oil from the pipeline.
A total of 10 people have been rushed to hospital with third-degrees.
The Health Ministry the said the wounded totaled at least 30.
