Enterprise Products Partners has won its first contract to export US crude, days after the US congress lifted a 40 year old ban on oil exports.
The company said the 600,000 barrel cargo of domestic light crude oil has been scheduled for the first week in January.
Al Teague, chief operating officer of Enterprise’s general partner, said:”We are excited to announce our first contract to export US crude oil, which to our knowledge may be the first export cargo of U.S. crude oil from the Gulf Coast in almost 40 years.”
