Russian oil company Lukoil has hit a new production milestone after topping 100 million tonnes of oil annually for the first time.
The company said the increase in prodcution in 2015, versus the previous year, amounted to 3.5% or 3.4 million tonnes.
Increasing production in the European part of Russia, in particular the Timan-Pechora and Perm Regions in the northern Caspian region, and the prolific West Qurna-2 field in Iraq had contributed to the record figure.
