Ithaca has named Richard Smith as its new chief commercial officer.
Smith, who has 19 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, was previously the firm’s corporate development manager. He previously spent eight years working for Total’s UK North Sea business and at its head office in France.
The confirmation comes as the board approved the grant of 12,000,000 share options to employees, officers and directors.
Chief executive Les Thomas was awarded 2million shares, officers Graham Forbes and Roy Buchan were awarded 1million shares each and director Alec Carstairs was awarded 200,000 shares.
