Eland Oil and Gas, the West African-focused exploration firm has made several changes to its board of directors, with co-founder Harry Wilson retiring as chairman.
Wilson has been in the role since Eland’s successful floatation in 2012. Bob Lambert has also retired as non-executive director of the company.
Eland has appointed Grégory Stoupnitzky as a non-executive director and will join the nomination and audit committees. Stoupnitzky, 59, has over 25 years of Investment Banking experience in the natural resources and related sectors.
Wilson said: “It has been a pleasure working with the team at Eland over the last five years. With the quality of its Nigerian assets, the company is well positioned to benefit from an upswing in the oil price and I look forward to following its progress”
Eland said Russell Harvey will be assuming the position of non-executive chairman.
He said: “The company has made substantial progress since it was listed and has great potential for further growth given the established team and quality of its assets.”
Henry Turcan will chair the audit committee with Russell Harvey assuming the chairmanship of the reserves and Nomination committee while retaining his current chairmanship of the Remuneration committee.
