Statoil has pulled out of its controversial partnership with Somoil Angola.
According to reports in Norwegian media, the operator pulled out of Block 4/05 offshore northern Angola, where Statoil has a 20% stake.
The company pulled out of the block last year and has now been given the go-ahead by Angolan authorities to sell its stake in Somoil and get out of the partnership.
