The Niger Delta Avengers have rejected a call from the Nigerian Government for talks to end a dispute over oil in the region.
The militant group also said it had blown up a Chevron well in the area adding to numerous previous attacks on oil sites by the organisation.
It comes after the country’s oil minister called for negotiations in a bid to stop military action.
Oil output in Nigeria has been brought to a 20-year low by the incidents.
Posting on their social media account, the Niger Delta Avengers said: “We’re not negotiating with any committee. If the Fed Govt is discussing with any group they’re doing that on their own.”
The group also said it had blown up a Chevron well called RMP 20 located next to the Dibbi flow station in the Warri area in the Delta at 1am local time.
