Aminex has received its first payment for its Kiliwani North-1 well in Tanzania.
Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) paid out for gas supplied.
A company spokesperson said: “Gas produced was paid in $US and in accordance with the Company’s Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) with TPDC. Scheduled future payments will be in accordance with the agreed GSA. The Company continues to work with TPDC during the current commissioning period to achieve an optimal rate and during this phase is being paid for all gas produced.”
Last month, the company announced gas production from the Kiliwani North-1 well in Tanzania reached 30mmcf per day (approximately 5,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day) with stable pressure recordings at that rate.
Aminex receives $3.00 per mmbtu.
