A car-bomb explosion has been reported in Nigeria.
According to reports, the incident happened in Maidguri in northeastern Borno state, in an area which has been repeatedly attacked by Islamist militant group Boko Haram during its seven-year insurgency.
Earlier this week reports emerged a Romanian engineer had been kidnapped by militants in Nigeria.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) tweeted:”There is a reported case of bomb blast around Muna Garage.
“Emergency workers are on their way to the scene.”
