Aberdeen-based asset manager Arnlea Systems has won a deal to carry out inspection services for an African-focused oil and gas operator.
Arnlea will use its hazardous area inspection system, Intrinsix Ex, to perform checks on two floating production, storage and offloading vessels contracted by London-listed Tullow Oil.
The two vessels, supplied by Modec, will be deployed on the Jubilee and Ten fields off Ghana.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
However, Arnlea did say it had won more than £500,000 worth of new business with three major FPSO companies alone, including Modec, during the second half of 2016.
Arnlea managing director Allan Merritt said: “It is great testament to the cost saving and efficiency gains the Arnlea system can provide, especially in a constrained market.
“Intrinsix Ex will allow Tullow to remain compliant, increase operational efficiency and achieve a return on investment well within the first year.”
Mr Merritt has led a £5.5million management buyout of Arnlea in 2014.
