Shell and BP are among the companies to have had bid accepted for oil and gas exploration in Egypt, a news report said.
The North African country’s Petroleum Ministry said it had approved six applications for exploration worth investment of at least $200million, Reuters reported.
Apache and Apex were among the other successful bidders who were identified.
