Cheniere Energy has reported a net loss $291million for the three months ended December 31, 2015, compared to a net loss of $158.6million the previous year.
For the 12 months ended December 31, 2015, US firm Cheniere reported a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $975.1 million, or $4.30 per share (basic and diluted), compared to a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $547.9 million, or $2.44 per share (basic and diluted), during the corresponding period of 2014.
Significant items for the 12 months ended December 31, 2015 related to derivative losses, loss on early extinguishment of debt primarily related to the write-off of debt issuance costs by Sabine Pass Liquefactio in connection with the refinancing of a portion of its credit facilities in March 2015, and impairment expense.
