Chariot Oil and Gas has launched its 3D seismic survey offshore Brazil.
The programme will cover 785 km2covering 100% of its operated BAR-M-292, BAR-M-293, BAR-M-313 and BAR-M-314 licences in the Barreirinhas basin, offshore Brazil.
Polarcus will carry out the 30 day programme.
A Chariot spokesperson said: “Following the analysis of legacy 2D seismic data over these blocks the company has identified a number of leads that will be targeted by the 3D survey to mature this prospectivity.”
Elsewhere, the UK’s Oil and Gas Authority will give out £500,000 in ‘prize money’ to the companies, which can use the findings of its seismic data to revitalise the North Sea.
