Chevron has appointed Randolph Richards as the firm’s new corporate vice president and treasurer.
The 61-year-old, who is currently vice president of finance for Upstream, will replace incumbent Paul Bennett on May 1.
Bennett is retiring after 36-years with the firm.
Patricia Yarrington, Chevron’s chief financial officer, said: “Paul has demonstrated a tremendous capability to both assess and manage risk, and has played an important role in helping to guide our financing strategies for the last several years.
“He has proven leadership skills and financial expertise, both of which were evident in multiple ways, multiple times over the course of his career.”
She added: “Randy’s financial acumen and breadth of experience make him well qualified to guide our financing strategies at this important juncture.”
In his new role, Richards will lead Chevron’s banking, financing, cash management, insurance, pension investments, and credit and receivables activities.
Richards joined Chevron in 1979.
