Oil major Chevron said it will cut 655 jobs in Houston as it looks to streamline costs.
The move is part of a broader payroll reduction across its upstream division announced last October,
The company said staff would be given at least six weeks transition pay, severance and also be provided with career transition services.
A spokesman for Chevron said: “In light of the current market environment, Chevron continues to take action by revising organizational structures, increasing efficiencies and reducing expenses.”
