Fugro has received a two-year contract extension with Petrobras after completing an initial 12-month stint.
The Fugro Aquarius vessel will carry out inspection, repair and maintenance and pipeline inspection services in Brazil.
Andrew Seymour, who manages Fugro’s marine business in Brazil, said: “This new contract strengthens our position in the Brazilian market, despite the challenging market conditions, and reinforces our ability to provide these services to clients such as Petrobras.”
Fugro took delivery of Fugro Aquarius for the initial contract.
It was built specifically for the Brazillian market and has a deck area of 520 square metres.
The contract value was not disclosed.
Operations got under way in May 2017.
