London-headquartered Echo Energy has started drilling a third exploration well in a back-to-back campaign of four wells in Argentina.
The EMS-10001 is located in the southern area of Echo’s Fraccion C license and will be drilled to a depth of around 2,250 metres.
It is estimated to hold around 60million barrels of oil, with the Petreven H-205 rig being used for the operation.
Echo is carrying out a four well campaign in the region onshore Argentina in a joint venture with local partner Compania General de Combustibles.
