A fatal accident on the platform of Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has killed one worker.
An online post by Brazilliant workers union Sindipetro said the accident took place on board the PNA-2 platform in the Campos Basin.
The dead workers name was Sandro Ferreira da Silva and it is understood his body has yet to be removed from the platform to and taken to shore.
It is believed Mr da Silva worked for outsource firm RIP Kaeter.
The union said the accident took place at 2:30pm on Sunday and 192 workers were onboard.
The PNA-2 platform was back in operation yesterday.
