French oilfield services company Technip is looking to sublet space in Houston’s energy corridor.
The French company, which expanded its presence in the city with a lease over four floors, had added to its space in the city at the 17-storey Energy Tower IV.
According to reports in the Wall Street Journal, the company is now looking to sublease in a bid to achieve savings.
The final part of last year saw the amount of space up for sublease increase to 7.6million square feet.
The jump was up from 4.5million the year before.
A Technip spokeswoman said the company is subleasing because “savings must be achieved” and it has ample space in neighboring buildings.
