North-east energy service firm Proserv said yesterday it had won a “multi-million dollar” contract with Premier Oil for work in Asia Pacific.
The exact value was undisclosed but it is thought to be more than £5million.
Westhill-based Proserv will supply a three-well subsea control system and associated equipment for the Bison, Iguana and Gajah Puteri development project, located in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia.
The system will be capable of future expansion to accommodate potential future infill drilling.
Delivery of the first phase of equipment is scheduled for May 2018.
Work will be carried out in Proserv service centres and technology hubs around the world.
The company said the deal allowed it to build on its existing “installed base of subsea control systems”, following a project completed with Premier Oil in Vietnam in 2013.
Mathieu Al Kharfan, Proserv region president for the Far East and Australia, said: “We are delighted to have secured this order, which further cements our position as a global provider of subsea controls and communications.
“Proserv has already worked with Premier Oil on several projects and the award of this contract is testament to the strength of our relationship and their trust in our ability to deliver robust technology solutions and services on time and to the highest standards.”
