
Malaysia’s Petronas is eyeing a stake in Indian Oil Corp’s Ennore liquefied natural gas terminal, a news report said.
The Indian firm’s chairman said Petronas was one of a number of companies to have shown an interest in theĀ 5 million-tonnes-a-year terminal, Reuters reported.
IOC intends to start operating the facility, which is in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, next year.
India aims to lift its annual LNG import capacity to 50 million tonnes in the next few years.
