Oilfield services giant Petrofac has won a $200million (£142million) engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) in India.
The work has been awarded by Hindustan Petroleum Corportation Limited for its Visakh Refinery Modernisation Project in Andhera Pradesh.
Petrofac will be involved in licensing and commissioning for the sulphur recovery unit at the site.
The contract lasts 30 months.
Sunder Kalyanam, group managing director for Petrofac’s engineering and construction growth business said: “We are delighted to be supporting HPCL in the delivery of this important package at the Visakh Refinery.
“It is particularly satisfying to be expanding our EPC activities in-country with this award and our recent contract award in Kerala.
“Both demonstrate our growth strategy in action and the continued strength of our capability in the refinery sector.”
It is the second EPC deal for Petrofac this week.
On Monday, it announced it has won a £420million award with a Middle East GCC National Oil Company.
Today, Petrofac has announced that it is planning to shed 90 UK jobs.
