Aberdeen consultancy Xodus Group has been nominated as a subcontractor for an LNG project in Indonesia.
The pre-feed contract for Abadi has gone to a consortium comprising Chiyoda, which owns 40% of Xodus, and Synergy Engineering.
Inpex has asked them to come up with design plans for subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines, and gas export pipelines.
Chiyoda said Xodus would provide technical leadership, as well as supplying specific studies based on its extensive deep-water SURF and pipeline design expertise.
Subsea 7, which owns 60% of Xodus, will also be involved in the project.
