Harbour Energy (LON:HBR) is seeking a platform supply vessel (PSV) to support its Andaman deep-water drilling programme offshore Indonesia.
Premier Oil, a Harbour company, said on Thursday, that it has launched a pre-qualification tender for the provision of two PSVs for its planned drilling campaign in the Andaman II Block.
The company said that the PSV will be deployed from February to April 2022. Harbour has hired the Capella drillship to conduct the drilling of the much anticipated Timpan-1 well. The rig will be jointly used with Repsol (BME:REP), which will also carry out exploration drilling at its adjacent Andaman III block.
The campaign, part of which will be targeting giant gas pockets in frontier waters, has been much anticipated, particularly Repsol’s wildcat, as it could help unlock deeper areas of the North Sumatra basin.
