Asian unconventionals specialist Greka Drilling Limited has appointed Sean Mulhearn and Richard Day as non-executive directors.
Mulhearn has over 30 years’ experience in international commodity finance and becomes an independent member of the board and a member of the remuneration committee. Day has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services sector and will join the Audit Committee.
Until 2014, Mulhearn was global head of commodity sales and global head of commodity finance and structuring at ANZ in Singapore. Day was most recently head of corporate development at institutional stockbroker Arden Partners. He is a qualified solicitor having worked with a number of law firms including Simmons & Simmons and Charles Russell.
Greka announced that Stewart John and Lisa He are stepping down from Greka Drilling’s board, although Lisa He remains the company’s chief financial officer in China.
Chairman Randeep Grewal, said: “I am delighted to welcome Sean and Richard to the Greka Drilling board. I believe that their experience is highly complementary to our current board and will be of significant value to the company.
“I’d also like to thank Stewart and Lisa for their contribution to the board since the company’s admission to AIM in 2011.”
Last month, Greka confirmed its Green Dragon Gas 30-well LiFaBriC contract is now in full swing and expected the drilling campaign to be completed by year-end.
