Borr Drilling has secured a new four-year contract for its Saga jack-up rig in Southeast Asia.
The contract, with an undisclosed operator in Southeast Asia, is expected to commence in Q4 2022. It will run in direct continuation of the rig’s current contract, for a duration of four years plus options.
The Saga is currently under contract to Hess for work offshore Malaysia, which runs from September last year until August 2022.
In March Borr also reported that the rig had secured a 45-day contract for a one-well drilling operation with another operator, commencing in direct continuation of its work with Hess and lasting until mid-Q3 2022.
Inclusive of this award, Borr said it now has a contracted fleet of 20 rigs out of a total of 23 delivered rigs.
An April update also saw the company report contracts and extensions for five of its jacks-ups spanning both Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
