Beach Energy has appointed Matthew Kay as its new chief executive. Kay will take up the role on May 2, more than two months earlier than originally planned.
Kay was to control from 17 July.
Beach chairman, Glenn Davis, said: “We are extremely pleased that Matt will join Beach earlier than originally anticipated.
“With all approvals for the merger with Drillsearch obtained, Matt will commence during an exciting period for the company. Matt has extensive corporate development and operational experience within the oil and gas industry, which will prove invaluable as we integrate Drillsearch and continue to execute our strategy.”
