Interek has won a deal with Jemena’s Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) Project.
The firm will provide the third party inspections services for the development.
Jemena is building and operating the $800million project.
The 622km pipeline will link Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory to Mount Isa in Queensland, “providing job opportunities, unlocking the next phase for economic growth for the Northern Territory and helping build
a stronger Northern Australia”.
“Intertek’s global network and experience in providing quality support services for major oil and gas projects, has led to this further new contract and also a result of our long-term relationship with Jemena,” said
Konrad Drogemuller, Intertek’s regional director for Industry Services.
“Our technical matter expert inspectors will represent Jemena at various locations across the globe with support from a local project leadership team in Sydney & Melbourne to ensure all equipment is manufactured to comply with the highest standards.”
