Energy service giant Wood has won a five-year deal to provide engineering services for Inpex in Australia.
The Aberdeen-headquartered company will work on the Inpex-operated Ichthys facilities, 220 kilometres off the coast of Western Australia.
Onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing facilities in Darwin are also covered by the contract, which is effective immediately.
Robin Watson, Wood’s chief executive said: “We are proud to be offering our diverse capabilities from subsea and topsides to brownfield engineering on this complex project, which has an operational life of at least 40 years.
“Our commitment is to leverage our global brownfield engineering expertise to ensure we deliver innovatively, efficiently and safely.”
