Japanese firm Inpex said today that it had finished commissioning the central processing facility for the Ichthys LNG project off western Australia.
The first shipments from the development will be under way by the end of September, Inpex said.
Operator Inpex owns 62.245% of the project.
Partners include Total, CPC, Taiwan, Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, Jera and Toho Gas.
The project is expected to produce 8.9 million tons of LNG and 1.65 million tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per year, along with 100,000 barrels of condensate per day at peak.
