Cue Energy Resources (CUE) has confirmed a rig deal for its onshore Indonesian exploration push.
Cue Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary, Cue Kalimantan, is the operator of the Naga Seletan -2 well.
Cue holds a 100% interest in the Mahakam Hilir PSC, which is located onshore in the Kutai Basin, Indonesia.
Naga Selatan-2 is a vertical exploration well to be drilled in the Mahakam Hilir PSC approximately 2.6km southeast of Naga Selatan-1.
It’s designed to test the updip potential of the Late Miocene Balikpapan and EarlyMiddle Miocene Pulau Balang reservoirs, which were first explored by the Naga Selatan-1 well drilled by SPC Mahakam Hilir in 2012.
The well has a 35% chance of success in recovering an estimated resource of 37.8 mmstb of oil.
