Allseas has released footage of its giant decommissioning vessels’ maiden heavy lift job.
In a single lift, the twin-hulled Pioneering Spirit ship removed a 13,500tonne unit in the North Sea for Repsol Norge.
The Yme jack-up rig was located 100kilometres off the coast of Norway.
Once on board, the Pioneering Spirit transported the topside to a decommissioning yard in Lutelandet, Norway.
Shell has booked the vessel to remove its Brent Delta topside in summer 2017.
