AkerBP has awarded Allseas a six year Transport, Installation and Removal contract.
The deal, which includes extension options totalling six years, includes the a call off for removal and disposal of the Valhall QP topsides and QP/DP bridge in 2019.
In addition, options have been agreed for removal and disposal of the QP and 2/4G jackets in the future, according to AkerBP.
Valhall QP started field use in 1980. Its orginal life expectancy was 20 years.
It sits in the Norwegian North Sea.
