Aberdeen Harbour Board has released a video of decommissioning work taking place for Total’s Leadon field in the North Sea.
The footage shows the arrival of the subsea trees arriving at the port on the Maersk Installer supply vessel.
Decommissioning work on Leadon has been contracted out by Total to Maersk Integrated Services.
The field itself is owned by Total and ceased production in 2006 with the FPSO moving to the Donan field.
Leadon lies in the Northern North Sea , around five miles from Apache’s Beryl field.
Accompanying the video, Aberdeen Harbour said it is one of several projects it supports with its decom partner Scotoil.
