Forsys Subsea has been awarded a contract from Statoil to provide a subsea front-end engineering study for subsea tie-back of Trestakk field to Asgard A FPSO in the Norwegian Sea.
The work will include all systems and related services from the wellhead to Asgard A riser hang-off, including umbilicals, riser, flowlines and subsea production system.
Forsys, which is a joint venture between FMC Technologies and Technip, said a key focus of the study will be to look at a cost efficient technical solution as well as a defined basis for the development phase.
Rasmus Sunde, Forsys chief executive, said: “The Trestakk FEED award from Statoil shows our commitment to reducing costs and improving returns for our customers by combining the capabilities and experience of the alliance between FMC Technologies and Technip.”
The contract is expected to be executed from its regional office in Oslo, Norway.
