The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum has warned Dea Norway and associates to put forward a plan for the Zidane project soon.
According to reports in Norwegian media, authorities have grown “tired of waiting” for a development plan for the field.
The license has now been given until August or face the risk of losing the opportunity to develop the field.
The director general of Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) Bente Nyland said the project owners are aware the “clock is ticking”.
He said the NPD was aware there had been “difficult negotiations”.
