Aker Solutions has struck a deal with Lundin Norway for its offshore developments.
“We are pleased to have this opportunity to work long term with Lundin,” said Per Harald Kongelf, head of Aker Solutions’ Norwegian operations.
“The company’s focus on the southern Barents Sea fits well with our technology and engineering expertise for even the most challenging conditions.”
The three-year deal, which has a two year extension option, will include a study for a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit for the Alta and Gohta oil development in the Barents Sea.
Aker’s engineering, subsea and maintenance and modifications and operations teams will carry out the work.
The contact win comes after confirmed a low oil price had forced it to cut 11% of its UK workforce. Read more here.
