Ascent Resources has completed is take over of Trameta doo.
The acquisition will allow the firm to move ahead with its work programme in Slovania.
Chief executive Colin Hutchinson said: “I am pleased that the Trameta purchase has been completed without delay. We can now begin to execute the short work program required to commence the production test at Petišovci and I look forward to updating shareholders as we progress towards first gas.”
First gas is expected in early 2017.
“This route is independent of the IPPC Permit. No further regulatory approvals are required for gas production to commence using this route to market. Additionally, the funding required to commence production is materially lower than would be the case if we were required to construct a new treatment facility in Slovenia,” the company said.
