Dutch energy service company N-Sea Offshore is moving some of its Aberdeen staff into new offices in the harbour area after outgrowing premises elsewhere in the city.
N-Sea, which specialises in subsea, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) work, will retain a fabrication facility at its Ashley House site in Pitmedden Road, Dyce.
But other employees among its near 40-strong Aberdeen workforce are moving to Salvesen Tower on Blaikie’s Quay.
The company, previously Noordhoek, was founded in 1933 as a shipping company.
Its lease of offices in the 11-story Salvesen House building gives it the extra space it needs for continued growth, both in the UK and internationally, and an enlarged project management and engineering department.
Chief operating officer Roddy James said: “N-Sea has evolved considerably in the short time since we established our presence within the UK.
“We are currently in the process of articulating our plans for expansion through investment in people, equipment and vessels to ensure we continue to deliver effective and cost-efficient solutions to our clients.
“Our new premises will house our ever-increasing personnel and its professional capabilities, which are fundamental to our drive to become a leading subsea IMR company in the North Sea and beyond.”
N-Sea provides IMR services to the oil and gas, renewable, utility and telecom industries, supporting customers’ infrastructure ranging from oil and gas platforms, pipelines and cables to offshore windfarms.
The company has been involved in subsea work since about 1968, when oil and gas developments on the Dutch continental shelf presented new opportunities offshore.
